Bobcats can be found throughout the state and are especially abundant in the South Texas brush country.Clara Manolache / 500px/Getty Images/500pxOfficials are warning about bobcats being spotted in South Texas. On June 3, the McAllen Police Department sent an alert about a "large, cat-like animal" being seen in the area.On June 15, the Brownsville Herald reported a bobcat was found in the front yard of a residence in Edinburg. In April, another bobcat was spotted lounging on one of the picnic tables at Sofie's 'SS' Saloon in South McAllen.
